Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Notre Dame Comes Up Short

St. Joseph Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Arroyo Dons, falling 67-47. The Pilots were probably out for revenge after losing 48-45 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Arroyo was led to victory by Annalyn Boac and Sophia Lopez. Boac posted 20 points, while Lopez earned 16 points. The dominant performance gave Boac a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikaylah Jackson, who had nine points.

St. Joseph Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Arroyo, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

St. Joseph Notre Dame didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-44 win against Bentley on the 28th. Arroyo has also already played their next contest, a 46-44 defeat against Berkeley on the 24th.
