On Monday, Classical Academy earned a 37-30 win over Ramona. The win made it back-to-back wins for Classical Academy.
Ramona's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Padilla-Carr, who scored 11 points along with 7 steals. Padilla-Carr scored a full 36.7% of Ramona's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzy Ahlgren, who scored 7 points.
Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ramona, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Classical Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against St. Joseph Academy at 7:30 p.m. As for Ramona, they will head out on the road to face off against West Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ramona in California (West Hills is ranked 172nd, while Ramona is ranked 514th).
