Softball Recap: Oelwein Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Oelwein waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against North Fayette Valley by a score of 8-5. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by exactly three runs.

Oelwein's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for North Fayette Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-17.

Coming up, Oelwein will host Sumner-Fredericksburg on Thursday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Fayette Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge West Delaware on Thursday.
