Preview: Ukiah Wildcats vs. Fort Bragg Timberwolves
Ukiah has been on the road for ten straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Fort Bragg Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Ukiah was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-36 to Cloverdale. While losing is never fun, Ukiah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 872nd, while Cloverdale is ranked 233rd).
Meanwhile, Fort Bragg's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. Their rough 59-36 loss to Middletown might stick with them for a while.
Ukiah has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Fort Bragg, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Ukiah against Fort Bragg when the teams last played back in December of 2014 as the squad secured a 58-29 win. Will Ukiah repeat their success, or does Fort Bragg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
