Baseball Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Rockdale County Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Comets couldn't push the score so high this time.

South Gwinnett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Ramey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Kam Rayford, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Rockdale County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Gwinnett will host Luella at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockdale County, they will be playing at home against Cedar Shoals at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Rockdale County's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Cedar Shoals has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
