Jordan Barnes leads MaxPreps National Football Stat Stars

Jordan Barnes of Van Alstyne (Texas) put together one of the top rushing performances of the season in a win over Farmersville last week.

Barnes tops the National Football Stat Stars list, based on statistics sent by coaches to MaxPreps, as he gained 522 yards on 34 carries with six touchdowns in a 62-55 win. Barnes had nearly 100 yards more than the next highest rusher last week.

A school with a prolific passing attack also made the stat stars list this week. Cole Ousley, a sophomore at Lone Oak (Paducah, Ky.) threw for 521 yards and seven touchdowns. Former Lone Oak quarterback Corey Robinson holds the national record for touchdowns with 91.

Here's a look at the national football stat stars for last week based on statistics reported by coaches to MaxPreps.



PASSING

Dimonic McKinzy, University Academy Charter (Kansas City, Mo.), 29 of 44 for 529 yards, 7 touchdowns in a 55-23 win over Christ Prep Academy.

Cole Ousley, Lone Oak (Paducah, Ky.), 21 of 27 for 521 yards, 7 touchdowns in a 56-28 win over Calloway County.

Parker Ash, Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas), 34 of 58 for 510 yards, 7 touchdowns in a 62-34 win over John Paul II.

Pat Smith, Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, Ill.), 29 of 42 for 507 yards, 5 touchdowns in a 56-14 win over Springfield.

Charlie High, Christian Academy of Knoxville (Tenn.), 32 of 43 for 488 yards, 5 touchdowns in a 49-26 win over Gibbs.



Kogan Garrett, Lexington (Texas), 20 of 25 for 483 yards, 5 touchdowns in a 68-28 win over Jarrell.

Ryan Finley, Paradise Valley (Phoenix), 49 of 67 for 482 yards, 5 touchdowns in a 41-35 loss to Liberty.

Jerame Littell, Stillwater (Okla.), 27 of 38 for 477 yards, 5 touchdowns in a 38-37 win over Page.

Brent Wilson, Ponca City (Okla.), 23 of 44 for 476 yards, 4 touchdowns in a 52-34 loss to Enid.
