Football Recap: Worthington Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Worthington and New Ulm, and New Ulm kept the tradition alive. The Trojans were dealt a 49-6 defeat at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Worthington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for New Ulm, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Worthington is set to face off against their familiar foe Waseca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Ulm will square off against rival Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
