Soccer Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Upper Lake Cougars. Middletown were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Upper Lake apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Upper Lake, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown will face off against rival Willits at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Upper Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Lower Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
