Recap: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Granite Hills Eagles
After soaring to 63 points the game before, the Valhalla Norsemen were a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They were beaten by Granite Hills 61-24. Valhalla has not had much luck with Granite Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Valhalla lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alexis Matos, who scored ten points.
Granite Hills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kerstena Tomika out in front who scored 18 points. Jasmine Yakob was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Granite Hills, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valhalla will take on Steele Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Steele Canyon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Valhalla surely won't give up without a fight. As for Granite Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Helix at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Helix focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Tuesday.
