The Stevenson Pirates will head out to challenge the North Monterey County Condors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stevenson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Stevenson didn't have too much trouble with Monte Vista Christian as they won 55-40. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Mustangs are ranked 903rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stevenson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kobie Crutcher, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Crutcher has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessie Chen, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, North Monterey County came up short against Carmel on Friday and fell 43-33.

The win made it two in a row for Stevenson and bumps their season record up to 18-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for North Monterey County, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Stevenson came up short against North Monterey County in their previous meeting back in January, falling 48-42. Can Stevenson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
