Chaparral dropped down to 3-2 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost  14-1 to the Harris County Tigers. The  match marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
As for Harris County, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.6 runs over those games.
For Harris County's part,  Madelyn Carey was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Carey has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  triple and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of  Caroline Gatewood, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  7-2  win against Pueblo West on the 23rd. As for Harris County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  12-2  victory against Papillion-LaVista South on the 23rd.
