Softball Recap: Scotland County Comes Up Short

Scotland County came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Paris Coyotes, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Coyotes: they've now lost four in a row.

Scotland County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Frederick, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Scotland County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Paris, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Scotland County will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Paris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
