Aurora is a perfect 8-0 against East Newton since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Houn Dawgs will head out to square off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The Houn Dawgs took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Houn Dawgs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, East Newton was beaten by Monett 58-20 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered against the Cubs since October 5, 2018.

Even if they lost, East Newton's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Monett's QB won't forget Aidan Wolfe anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Cubs' side was Lachlan Letterman, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

East Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Aurora, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Aurora didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against East Newton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 26-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Houn Dawgs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
