It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Granite Bay can now relate to. They fell just short of the Rocklin Thunder by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Grizzlies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sienna Dawson and Ella Griffin scored both of Granite Bay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Granite Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Rocklin, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Coming up, Granite Bay will be playing at home against Homestead at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Homestead will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Granite Bay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rocklin, they will host Amador Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Rocklin's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Amador Valley has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
