Volleyball Recap: Cypress Falls Takes a Loss

If Cypress Falls was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cypress Ridge on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Memorial Mustangs on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 15-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Cypress Falls has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-25 record this season. As for Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Falls is set to face off against their familiar foe Cypress Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Memorial will challenge rival Cypress Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
