Pendleton County had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped up to 14-15 to make it four. They had just enough and edged out the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs 4-3. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Travis Owens was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

As for Tygarts Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-16 record this season. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

On Tygarts Valley's side, Jacob Wamsley was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Wamsley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Wamsley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Adam Woods, who went 1-for-4 with one run.
