Soccer Recap: Cordova's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Cordova brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They came out on top against the Grant Pacers by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

They hit Grant with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Madison Harder (2), Savannah Fennel, and Karen Gonzalez.

Cordova's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Grant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4-1.

Cordova and Grant could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Cordova (ranked 826th) will meet Antelope (ranked 373rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Grant will square off against McClatchy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday down 307 places (522 vs. 215).
