Spencer's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sumter County Panthers by a score of 16-13. With that victory, the Greenwave brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Elijah Fudge was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Mays, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and two RBI.
Spencer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sumter County only posted an OBP of .488.
Spencer's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Sumter County, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-12.
