Recap: Athenian vs. Head-Royce
Tuesday just wasn't the day for the Athenian Owls's offense. They were the victim of a tough 4-0 defeat at the hands of Head-Royce on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Athenian in their matchups with Head-Royce: they've now lost four in a row.
Athenian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season. As for Head-Royce, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athenian will challenge Bentley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bentley's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Athenian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Head-Royce, they will head out on the road to square off against College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Head-Royce is coming into the contest with three straight victories on the road, meaning College Prep will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
