Soccer Recap: Botkins Comes Up Short

Botkins entered their contest against Shawnee on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. If Botkins were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Shawnee when the teams met back in September of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 13-2-2. As for Shawnee, their record now sits at 8-5-2.

Botkins will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Twin Valley South at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Shawnee, they will challenge Ottawa-Glandorf at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
