Basketball Game Preview: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Faith Christian Lions

Buckingham Charter is 1-9 against Faith Christian since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Buckingham Charter Knights will be playing at home against the Faith Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m.

Buckingham Charter is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 58-15 defeat at the hands of Valley Christian. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-6.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian entered their tilt with John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They took their match with ease, bagging a 62-33 victory over the Patriots. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Patriots are ranked 911th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Faith Christian pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Buckingham Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Buckingham Charter took a serious blow against Faith Christian in their previous meeting on January 10th, falling 55-14. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Buckingham Charter was down 31-6.
