Basketball Game Preview: Red Bluff Spartans vs. Foothill Cougars

Red Bluff is 0-10 against Foothill since January of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Spartans will face off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Red Bluff ended up a good deal behind Shasta and lost 53-38.

Meanwhile, Foothill entered their tilt with Pleasant Valley on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 win over the Vikings. The Cougars pushed the score to 51-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings cut but never quite recovered from.

Red Bluff better keep an eye on Madison Hart. She was instrumental in Foothill's win, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. They are 19-1 when Hart posts eight or more boards, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Mj O'Rorke, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Foothill's record now sits at 20-4. As for Red Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.

Red Bluff took a serious blow against Foothill in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 67-38. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
