Cairo has gone 9-1 against Monroe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cairo Syrupmakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Cairo's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Monroe has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Cairo made easy work of Monroe and carried off a 14-4 victory. The Syrupmakers haven't had any issues with the Golden Tornadoes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

For Monroe's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talen Pugh, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Pugh has posted since back in April of 2024.

Cairo now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
