Soccer Game Preview: Vista Murrieta vs. Murrieta Valley

The Vista Murrieta Broncos will head out on the road to take on the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Vista Murrieta didn't have quite enough to beat Great Oak and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Murrieta Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Murrieta Mesa a 4-0 shutout on Friday. The Nighthawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Vista Murrieta and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1. As for Murrieta Valley, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
