Softball Recap: Northgate Extends Winning Streak to Five

Northgate extended their postseason success on Monday against Creekview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Grizzlies. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won five games in a row.

Savannah Chitnis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northgate saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Grace Kramer, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Northgate's victory bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Creekview, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Grizzlies beat Northgate by a score of 8-1 later that day.
