Baseball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hoover can now relate to. They came up short against the Coastal Academy Stingrays on Tuesday, falling 13-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 last Wednesday.

Hoover dropped their record down to 9-22-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Coastal Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-7.

Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coastal Academy, they will challenge Canyon Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Stingrays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rattlers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
