Basketball Recap: Colony Comes Up Short

Colony dropped down to 12-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the San Dimas Saints 67-40. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Titans struggled afterwards.

Colony lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Maria Burgonove, who posted 13 points. Alexa Arteaga was another key player, putting up ten points.

As for San Dimas, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nevaeh Verdines produced another solid effort almost dropping a double-double with 36 points and nine boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 43% in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Faith Kearns, who earned six points in addition to 11 rebounds and five assists.

Colony has already played their next matchup, a 57-32 victory against Alta Loma on the 22nd. As for San Dimas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-30 win against South Hills on the 22nd.
