Baseball Game Preview: Brentwood War Eagles vs. John Milledge Academy Trojans

Brentwood hasn't had much luck against John Milledge Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The War Eagles will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Brentwood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, Brentwood was able to grind out a solid win over Thomas Jefferson Academy, taking the game 4-1. That's two games straight that the War Eagles have won by exactly three runs.

Brentwood's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was JW Hitchcock, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

First Presbyterian Day hit John Milledge Academy with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 7-1 to the Vikings. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brentwood pushed their record up to 12-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for John Milledge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.
