Baseball Game Preview: Lowell Red Devils vs. Glide Wildcats

The Lowell Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Glide Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lowell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Oakridge hit Lowell with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-6. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ben Thurman made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Carter Harris, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Glide might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-11 to Mapleton/Siuslaw, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Glide, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
