Baseball Recap: Granite City Takes a Loss

Granite City lost against Mascoutah back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors came up short against the Indians, falling 13-3.

Evan Brewer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Granite City has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. As for Mascoutah, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Coming up, Granite City is taking a road trip to challenge Jersey at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mascoutah, they will take on Rochester at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3, the Rockets 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
