Baseball Game Preview: Hanover-Horton Comets vs. Addison Panthers

The Hanover-Horton Comets will square off against the Addison Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hanover-Horton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Hanover-Horton came up short against Columbia Central on Friday, falling 17-5. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Aiden Zeffrey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Hanover-Horton: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Addison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Vandercook Lake 3-2.

Addison's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Hanover-Horton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
