Recap: Frazier Commodores vs. Carmichaels Mighty Mikes
The Frazier Commodores's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-43 walloping at the hands of Carmichaels. Frazier was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carmichaels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Frazier saw an underclassman step up: Allie Yauch scored 19 points along with eight steals. Yauch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malana Burton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Frazier has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Carmichaels, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.
Frazier will head out on the road to challenge California at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carmichaels, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chartiers-Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carmichaels is coming into the match with three straight victories at home, meaning Chartiers-Houston will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
