Football Recap: Longview Takes a Loss

Longview and DeSoto squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Longview had to settle for second. They were dealt a 60-28 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The Lobos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Longview still got an impressive performance from JOHNNY HAMILTON, who rushed for 71 yards and two scores, and also threw for 150 yards and one touchdown. JAYDEN WASHINGTON was in the mix too, providing the Lobos with one TD.

Longview's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for DeSoto, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Longview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DeSoto, they will face off against College Park at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
