Recap: East Bakersfield Blades vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds
The East Bakersfield Blades can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Kennedy by a score of 40-31. The win was just what East Bakersfield needed coming off of a 67-30 defeat in their prior match.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Valeria Payan, who scored 8 points along with 15 rebounds and 3 blocks.
East Bakersfield now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kennedy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
East Bakersfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Parlier at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Kennedy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mt. Whitney at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th.
