Bainbridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Dougherty Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Trojans last Tuesday, they had to take a 17-8 defeat.

Not much got past Brooks Hines, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Dougherty off the board. That's the fewest hits Hines has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Graham Beckham was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Griffin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Bainbridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Dougherty, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Bainbridge will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Peach County at 5:30 p.m. Peach County will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Bainbridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dougherty, they are taking a road trip to take on Sherwood Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dougherty is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
