While East Hall put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Towns County. The Vikings were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Indians. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Aydan Gerrin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Gerrin was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Aniyah Smith was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Emily Ingbritsen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
East Hall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
East Hall's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Towns County, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
