Baseball Recap: Edwardsburg Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Edwardsburg came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Gull Lake Blue Devils. That's two games straight that the Eddies have won by just one run.

Logan Summy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Alex Rudolph was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Edwardsburg's win bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Gull Lake, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-7.
