Football Game Preview: Brunswick Railroaders vs. Catoctin Cougars + How To Watch

The Brunswick Railroaders will face off against the Catoctin Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Brunswick and six for Catoctin.

Brunswick managed to slip by Walkersville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Railroaders were beaten by the Lions 50-14 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Catoctin fell victim to Middletown and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Knights are ranked 35th).

Catoctin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Brunswick against Catoctin in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 48-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Railroaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
