Basketball Recap: Righetti Takes a Loss

Righetti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the St. Joseph Knights 74-33. The Warriors were probably out for revenge after losing 88-46 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Maava Sat, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards for St. Joseph. Sat is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Ali Mayes was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Righetti's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for St. Joseph, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Righetti didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-31 defeat against Arroyo Grande on the 28th. As for St. Joseph, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-52 win against Orcutt Academy on the 28th.
