Despite the loss, Valley View saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jada Booten almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Booten a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Mason Long, who posted nine points along with seven assists and three steals.
Rancho Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 19-6 record this season.
