Recap: Linden Lions vs. Calaveras Red Hawks

This season hasn't been kind to the Linden Lions, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They had to suffer through a rough 59-15 loss at the hands of Calaveras. Linden has not had much luck with Calaveras recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Calaveras' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Izzy Tapia led the charge by dropping a double-double on 10 points and 17 rebounds. Tapia is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Ginger Scheidt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 steals.

Linden bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for Calaveras, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Linden will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lathrop at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th.
