Football Recap: St. Francis' Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If St. Francis was riding high fresh off their 51-0 takedown of Greeley County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Community Red Devils on Friday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this game were averaging 11.5 points allowed.

When it comes to explaining why St. Francis lost, don't look at Lucas Raile. Despite the final result, he rushed for 61 yards and two scores, and also threw for 234 yards and a pair of TDs. The Indians also got help from Dayton Fromholtz, who showed off his sure hands for 192 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Francis fell to 3-1. As for Decatur Community, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Coming up, St. Francis will be playing at home against Hill City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ringnecks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Decatur Community, they will head out to take on Hoxie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
