After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Thomas A. Edison brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They took down the Parkway West HOYAS 57-41 on Wednesday. The Owls' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Thomas A. Edison was led to victory by Destiny Speach and Zyliah Wilson. Speach posted 21 points, while Wilson earned 15 points. Speach is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcaiyah Colon, who had six points.

Parkway West lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kemba Brown, who scored 17 points. The game was Brown's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Mariyah Davis was another key player, putting up 15 points.

With the victory, Thomas A. Edison broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. As for Parkway West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Thomas A. Edison will welcome Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Parkway West, they will square off against Overbrook at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Parkway West is facing Overbrook at the right time seeing as Overbrook is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
