After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grossmont, Santana was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Monte Vista Monarchs by a score of 14-7. The victory continues a trend for the Sultans in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now won four in a row.

Santana's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Monte Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
