Softball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Eureka hit Northwest with a eight-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions lost 12-2 to the Wildcats. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Northwest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alli Lewellen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Eureka, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Northwest will welcome Parkway Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eureka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Troy-Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
