Soccer Game Preview: Torres vs. Edison

The Torres Toros will challenge the Edison Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Torres is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Torres took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Madera South onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Toros considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Madera South with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Velasquez (2), Elihanna Gallegos, and Natalia Cortez.

Meanwhile, Edison and Sanger finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday.

With that draw, Edison's record moves to 2-5-6. As for Torres, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Torres skirted past Edison 2-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Torres repeat their success, or does Edison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
