Soccer Recap: De Anza Takes a Loss

De Anza lost against El Cerrito last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The De Anza Dons lost 4-0 to the El Cerrito Gauchos. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 887th, while the Gauchos are ranked 349th).

De Anza's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for El Cerrito, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De Anza will host Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. De Anza is facing Richmond at the right time seeing as Richmond is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for El Cerrito, they will challenge Saint Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
