Softball Recap: St. Cecilia Find Success

St. Cecilia owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Centura Centurions. The Bluehawks haven't had any issues with the Centurions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Audrey Rossow's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyler Weidner, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, one run, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddison Bauer, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

St. Cecilia's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Centura, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

St. Cecilia will be playing at home against Adams Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centura, they are taking a road trip to take on Central City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Centurions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
