Soccer Recap: Mount Paran Christian Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Mount Paran Christian was not quite Mount Vernon's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Mount Vernon Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 10-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Their goal came courtesy of Jordan Gray, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Mount Paran Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Mount Vernon, their record now sits at 3-1.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Mount Paran Christian challenge the Hardaway at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Vernon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on The Weber School at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th.
