Softball Recap: Capital City Comes Up Short at Home Against Linn

Capital City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Linn Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 8-1. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Linn's win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Capital City has already played their next contest (against Fatima), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Linn, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 victory against Owensville on the 4th.
